Dudamel Foundation Artists at the Peralada Festival in Spain

In August 2019, Gustavo and the Foundation collaborated with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra to educate 41 Dudamel Foundation Artists through guided mentorship and performance with the goal of encouraging intercontinental dialogue through music Students from Venezuela, Sweden, Spain, Argentina, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Norway, South Korea, Colombia, and the United States alongside their teachers from the Mahler Chamber Orchestra represented citizens of 22 countries across 5 continents.
The Foundation organized a two-day “Seminario” where members of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra provided mentorship for the young global musicians. The Seminario underscored the educational and philanthropic role of GDF as a catalyst for uniting people through music while thoroughly preparing young musicians to perform at the highest level.
The program culminated with a performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1, “The Titan” under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel with actor and narrator María Valverde at the Castell de Peralada Festival on August 10.
